DiskMaker X 7 then asks for the type of disk you’re using for your bootable disk (see image below). If your downloaded installer ended up in the Applications folder (as it should), click “Use this copy”, which is highlighted in blue. DiskMaker locates the macOS High Sierra installer. ![]() MacOS Mojave 10.14 can upgrade High Sierra, Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks or Mountain Lion macOS High Sierra 10.13 can upgrade Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks or Mountain Lion Safari will download the following older installers as a disk image named InstallOS.dmg or InstallMacOSX.dmg. As soon as you launch the application, it tries to find the OS X Install the program with Spotlight. DiskMaker X (formerly Lion DiskMaker) is an application built with Apple Script that you can use with many versions of OS X to make a bootable drive from OS X installer program (the one you download from the App Store).
